Rental policy

Please read these terms before you book. By booking with MTN Rent a Car you agree to them and to our privacy policy. Updated October 2026.

The car

  • Every car is delivered clean and in good condition. Any existing mark or damage is recorded and photographed with you at handover.
  • From handover until return, the car is the renter's responsibility.
  • Return the car in the condition you received it, at the agreed time.
  • MTN may take the car back at any time, at the renter's cost, if the agreement is broken.

Insurance

  • Every car in our fleet comes with comprehensive insurance, in line with UAE law. There is no third-party-only option.
  • The insurance does not cover, among other cases: a car sub-let without our written consent; a driver under the influence of alcohol or drugs; a driver who is not registered on the rental agreement.
  • Each claim follows the insurer's terms and UAE law.

Rental period

  • A rental day is 24 hours from the handover time.
  • Late return: up to 59 minutes is free; 60–119 minutes is charged half a day; 120 minutes or more is charged a full day.
  • Early return: unused days are not refunded.
  • Extensions are possible once the rental has started, subject to availability, at the daily rate.

Delivery and travel

  • Delivery and collection anywhere in Dubai are free.
  • The car may not leave the UAE without our written permission, which MTN may grant or refuse.
  • Airport pick-up and drop-off at DXB are available; please give us your flight number so the car is ready at the right terminal and time.

Drivers

  • The booking must be in the name of the main driver, and that name must match the rental agreement.
  • UAE residents: a valid Emirates ID or passport with residence visa, and a valid UAE driving licence.
  • Visitors: passport with entry stamp, and a driving licence from your home country (an International Driving Permit where required).
  • Additional drivers are free of charge when they meet the same requirements and are registered on the agreement.

Payment, fines and Salik

  • We accept cash and Visa or Mastercard in the renter's own name. Another person's card is accepted only if the card holder is present and signs a card authority form.
  • Traffic fines, Salik tolls and any other charges incurred during the rental are paid by the renter.
