Insurance is the question we are asked most, and for good reason: a Lamborghini or a McLaren is not a car you want to take risks with. This is how insurance works on an MTN rental.
Every car is insured under UAE law
All our cars carry the insurance required in the UAE, and comprehensive insurance is standard across the fleet. That means damage to the rented car and to other vehicles is covered within the policy terms, not only third-party damage.
What insurance does not cover
Like every rental insurance in the UAE, cover does not apply in some situations. The main ones are:
- the car is driven by someone who is not registered on the rental agreement;
- the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- the car is sublet or lent to someone else without our written consent;
- damage caused deliberately or recklessly, such as damage to the roof from standing on it or to the underside from off-road driving.
How to avoid surprises
- Register every driver. Additional drivers are free; just send us their licence before the rental starts.
- Check the car at delivery. Existing marks are recorded and photographed with you before you sign.
- Report anything straight away. If something happens, call us first. In the UAE a police report is needed for any accident, however small.
- Stay in the UAE. Taking the car across the border needs our written permission in advance.
Need more cover?
Special insurance options are available on request for some cars. Ask when you book and we will explain what applies to the car you have chosen.
