SUV or supercar? Choosing the right luxury car in Dubai

How many passengers, how much luggage and what kind of driving: a quick guide to picking the right car from the MTN fleet.

5 min read

Our fleet runs from the Kia K5 and Seltos to the Range Rover Sport and Cadillac Escalade, and on to supercars from Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren and the Porsche 911. Three questions narrow it down quickly.

How many people, and how much luggage?

The Ferrari F8 Tributo, Lamborghini Huracán, McLaren 750S Spider, Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Corvette C8 seat two with little luggage space. The Porsche 911 Cabriolets and the Mercedes-Benz CLE and BMW 420i convertibles seat four. For a family with suitcases, the Range Rover Sport and Audi SQ5 seat five, the Cadillac Escalade seven, and the Mercedes-Benz V 300 d and Vito Tourer eight.

What kind of driving?

City evenings and short drives suit a supercar. Long days with several stops are easier in the Mercedes-Benz E 300 e, the BMW 520i or an SUV. For the desert or mountain roads, take the Range Rover Sport or the Volkswagen Touareg. If the driving itself is the point, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is the car for keen drivers, and the Ferrari Purosangue and BMW XM bring that pace to an SUV.

What is the occasion?

For weddings and formal events, book the car with a chauffeur so you arrive relaxed. Photo shoots and birthdays suit a colourful car: the Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder comes in five colours, the McLaren 750S Spider in green and the Ferrari Purosangue in orange. Business is best in the black Mercedes-Benz S 580 or BMW 520i.
